Our Annual
Food Drive
Beginning Monday, February 3-13, WSMS classes will be collecting nonperishable foods to support families in need. As a practical life activity, children will be sorting and grouping items. They will also be weighing and/or counting items as a means to enhance counting skills. Above all, children will learn what it means to give back and support others through generosity! Please consider inviting your child to select nonperishable items from your pantry to bring to their classroom.

The White Center Food Bank has asked for shelf stable, non-expired and highly requested food items such as: rice, noodles, canned soup, broth, condiments, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, coffee & tea, ramen noodles, white sugar, oil, flour, salt/pepper.

VIRTUE OF THE MONTH
Unity
FEBRUARY
Unity is a powerful virtue and it brings great strength. Unity is inclusiveness. It brings people together. We see our commonality without devaluing our differences. We experience our connectedness with all people and all life. Unity frees us from the divisiveness of prejudice and heals our fears. We refuse to engage in conflict, seeking peace in all circumstances. Unity comes when we value every person, in our family or in our world. The joy of one is the joy of all. The hurt of one is the hurt of all. The honor of one is the honor of all.

"We know that we are the ones who are divided and we are the ones who must come back together to walk in the Sacred Way."
- Ojibway Prayer, Oneworld Book of Prayer, p. 152
